Torino staff found spying on Roma training session

A member of Torino coach Ivan Juric’s staff was discovered spying on a Roma training session ahead of Monday’s Serie A match.

The game kicks off on Monday at 17.30 GMT and Daniele De Rossi was putting his team through their paces at the Trigoria training camp.

An uninvited guest was also present, because the Corriere dello Sport claim that security discovered coaching collaborator Michele Orecchio hiding and taking notes.

Orecchio is part of Torino coach Juric’s staff, so naturally the spying mission was traced back to the Granata.

It is not even the first time this has happened, because in April 2023 there was another incident when Jose Mourinho’s assistant Nuno Santos found Orecchio in the stands carrying recording equipment that he had used to bring back evidence of Roma’s training routines.

There was also famously an incident ahead of the Derby della Lanterna between city rivals Sampdoria and Genoa when technical collaborators were discovered in the bushes wearing camouflage and carrying binoculars.
