NHL bets: Two plus-money SOG props for Friday's puck action

We should really clean things up on the ice after yesterday's dud, and we're back to the plus-money well to do just that. Florida and Dallas are looking to close things out and both move on to their second-straight Conference Final appearances. They may do just that, but we prefer focusing in some shots on goal props instead.

.75u: Evan Rodrigues 3+ shots (+175 DraftKings)

Panthers at Bruins, 7 p.m. ET

I'm always going to lean Florida's way for shots in this series, and considering they piled up 74 shots in two games in Boston, that remains my read tonight.

When I consider the best value on the table, I'm drawn to Evan Rodrigues. Rodrigues was one of Florida's most productive players in Boston this series, finishing with four and five SOG. Rodrigues now has 3+ shots in three of five this series and four of his last six, and he's had a steady dose of attempts and time on ice throughout this second-round matchup.

I'm willing to dabble at this price, but by all means, consider his 1.5 shots line in a parlay.

1u: Cale Makar over 3.5 SOG (+120 DraftKings)

Stars at Avalanche, 10 p.m. ET

I highlighted Makar's shots on Wednesday on Twitter and he delivered, so you best believe we're going right back to the Avalanche defenseman after his five-SOG, two-goal night.

The key for Makar right now is volume. He has 30 attempts over his last three games (and 8+ attempts in four of five), and he's averaged 8.75 attempts per game over his last eight without Valeri Nichushkin. He's hit this over in six of those eight games sans Nichushkin.

Still down 3-2 in the series and now at home, I expect Colorado to maintain their shot aggressiveness, and off a big game, Makar should not be holding back from ripping the puck here.

Makar has logged 4+ shots in 65% of his games this season when he goes for 8+ attempts. Based on recent games and his role without Nichushkin, that number is still where I project him tonight. Sign me up at +120.
