Fangio, 65, is from Dunmore, Pa. He served as a consultant for the Eagles in 2022 after being fired by the Denver Broncos following a three-year stint as their head coach. The Dolphins finished 22nd in points allowed and 10th in yards allowed with Fangio serving as defensive coordinator this season.
Over his lengthy coaching career, Fangio has served as a defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and the Dolphins.
Philly’s defense ranked 30th in the league in points allowed and 26th in yards allowed during the regular season.
